Learn Italian with films!

Occasionally we organise an Italian film evening: the Serata TiVù! This event is only open to our enrolled students.

Text in films as part of the learning process

We consider the Serata Tivù to be an important exercise. We watch Italian films without German subtitles with students of all language levels together. This brings pupils into closer contact with Italian, teaches them to infer the meaning of words from their context and familiarises them with new vocabulary.

Before each film screening, there is an introduction in which the plot, the actors and the director are briefly introduced and the historical background is explained. A week before the film evening, texts are made available for preparation. The screening is followed by a discussion on the content and the new vocabulary and expressions.
