Expertise, experience and passion characterise the teachers in our team. We are eine enthusiastische Gruppe von ausgebildeten MuttersprachlerInnen and we are delighted to be able to teach our language and convey our culture in Berlin.
We come from the various regions of Italy: Sardinia, Tuscany, Veneto, Lombardy, Lazio and Campania and attach great importance to introducing you to the local customs.
Why native speakers as teachers?
Lecturers from Italy, i.e. native speakers, are not just teachers, they are ambassadors of their country, their culture, their traditions and their society. The temperament, their family histories, the songs, images and flavours that they carry within them flow spontaneously and authenticly into the lessons. Professional teachers who grew up in Italy teach Italian grammar in the best possible way and explain the nuances of vocabulary and texts better than a dictionary. They are a real piece of Italy in Berlin.
The method: "As if we were in Italy"
Our teachers speak almost exclusively Italian in class. The use of German is already reduced to a minimum in the Italian for Beginners A1.1 and A1.2 courses. After that, German is used only exceptionally if really necessary.
The consistent use of Italian in the classroom helps pupils to get used to a more direct contact with the language without barriers and fears, as well as to practise structures and vocabulary and memorise them better.
